BABFAR Donation Helps Children and Taxpayers in Millis, Massachusetts
The Millis Board of Selectmen officially thanks BABFAR Equipment Corporation for their generous donation to help the construction of the new Clyde F. Brown Elementary School. BABFAR Equipment Corporation is a local business that works toward the common good through sponsorship and donation.
“BABFAR gave us four large propane heaters which are used in the new Clyde Brown School to keep the inside temperature up at a level that is suitable for work crews,” said Permanent Building Committee member Diane Jurmain.
The value of the four donated heaters equaled $19,500. The founder of the company, Bruce A. Berry, asked that the money set aside in the budget for the heating equipment be credited back to the people of Millis. When the town built its new library, BABFAR Equipment Corporation made a similar gift, offering heaters for the construction of the library.
The Presentation
The company was founded fifty years ago and is located at 1380 Main Street in Millis, MA. Today Bruce, the founder, is no longer active in the business, but his two sons now run the company.
Jason is the Director of BABFAR, while the Bruce is the Vice President. All three were present at the meeting of the Selectmen. Jim McCaffrey, Loring Barnes, and Kathleen MacInnes were present to make the presentation to the Selectmen, while Permanent Building Committee Members Diane Jurmain and Wayne Klocko also attended.
